Mission: Impossible?

I am currently trying to watch all of my movies, I have so many which I bought but never seen (a downfall of working in a DVD shop)  Plus loads I have recorded off of Sky too.

I started at A and began to work my way through.  This isn't a strict alphabetical rule, I just thought it would save spending 20-30 mins trying to choose a film, and then just picking an old favourite anyway.  I have only got to C (Carlito's Way is next) so far but hey, it's not a race so who cares!  The other thing is, that I am trying not to be a film snob.  If  I can try to remain open about everything I watch, until I have watched it, maybe I will uncover some hidden gems (but I doubt it).

It has been an enjoyable ride so far, seeing some old favourites, (Alien, Anchorman, Big Lebowski, Bourne Trilogy, The Breakfast Club) and enjoying some new movies too (Black Dahila, Black Snake Moan, The Bucket List.)

However not everything is good and there have been some purchasing mistakes along the way. Weeding out those unworthy of being in my collection any longer, beacuse they are just bad and I hadn't seen them until now (2012, 10,000BC), or because my tastes have changed, and I just expect a little more from my movies now, or even because, although I enjoyed them, I will probably never watch them again (Antwone Fisher, Apocalypto).    Then there are some which I am only keeping because they are in a box-set, These movies are so bad that apologies should be issued for them, and part of me is ashamed to own them (Batman & Robin, Alien Resurrection)

So there you go, my basic mission.  Impossible, no, but very very long!

In the beginning...

I have decided to try and write a blog.  I don't know how well this will turn out, how often I will update it, or even what rambling nonsense I will come out with.  Hell I don't even know if anyone will actually read this!

The plan at the moment is to mostly write reviews for stuff I watch, mixed in with some general opinion about things going on in the world.  Feel free to comment, disagree, argue.
